AFTER SCHOOLKids Club

After Schoolでは、スクールコンセプトである、『Play Think and Learn』のもと、当校の外国人教師が英語 教材や、様々な教材を用いて、各クラスオールイングリッシュで授業を行います。年齢ごとにコースを設け、生徒のレベルに応じて、英語学習はもちろんのこと、様々なアクティビティを通し、国際感覚を身につけることができるプログラムとなっております。

PROGRAMS INFORMATION

3-4 YEARS

Tuesday 3:30-4:30
'Rhythmique English' The goals of the Rhythmique program is to introduce students to the world of rhythm, music, dance and English. Students will work with musical tools, such as the metronome, and play instruments like the tambourine, xylophone and other percussion instruments. Students will learn the words and sing to classic English songs and nursery rhymes. Students will learn the beat, rhythm, dances and movements associated with that song. Rhythmique is a fun and engaging introduction to the English language and perfect for beginners.
Wednesday 3:30-4:30
'Phonics A' Students will develop phonic alphabet awareness - the ability to hear, identify, and manipulate letters to form words. Students will strengthen their reading and writing skills by learning and understanding the use of letter sounds and patterns.
In Phonics A, students will strengthen their alphabet skills, particularly in letter recognition, identification, beginning and ending sounds, and letter formation.Students will also build vocabulary and begin short vowel word work for emergent reading skills.
Thursday 3:30-4:30
'Active English' Active English is similar to an ESL (English-as-a-Second- Language) class - focused on non-native speakers as their first introduction to English. Lessons are taught with movement, games, songs, dance and play in mind. Children are taught the very basic of English grammar. Games will be played to reinforce the lessons.

4-6 YEARS

Tuesday 3:30-4:30
'Active English B' Active English is similar to an ESL (English-as-a-Second- Language) class - focused on non-native speakers as their first introduction to English. Lessons are taught with movement, games, songs, dance and play in mind. Children are taught the very basic of English grammar. Games will be played to reinforce the lessons.
Wednesday 3:30-4:30
'Sight Words A' Sight words are the most common words used in English ranked in order of frequency and are the building blocks of early child literacy. These high frequency words often follow unusual spelling patterns and should be recognized instantly by readers. Students will memorize Fry's first 100 sight words in order to jump- start the reading process and will be able to read more fluently with greater reading comprehension.
'Animal Kingdom' From big to tiny, there are so many different, interesting animals. We find them in our backyard or hear about them in the jungle, ocean, or savanna. What makes each animal unique? Which animal is your favourite? Join us on our adventure as we practice speaking and phonics skills, play and move, read, and do creative arts while learning about the animal kingdom.
Students will use non-fiction text and pictures to talk about various animals - animal family, parts, characteristics, habitat, diet, and life cycles. We will practice phonics and vocabulary to strengthen reading skills, as well as build listening comprehension. Games and movement will also be usbe incorporated on a weekly basis.
Wednesday 4:30-5:30
'Fantastic Fairytales' A class that expands on classic fairy tales through exciting activities and art. Students will read popular Western fairy tales, work on basic reading skills and phonics. Creative art will be incorporated to further discussion, focusing on the setting, characters, and story- telling.
Thursday 3:30-4:30
'Phonics B' In Phonics B, students will focus on short and long vowel sounds, blends, and digraphs to strengthen their beginning reading skills. Engaging activities and emergent readers will be used to reinforce the skills. Students will build vocabulary and havepractice reading books.

6-9 YEARS

Tuesday 4:00-5:00
'Sight Words B' In Sight Words B, students will focus on Fry’s sight words, 101-200. They will build speed, accuracy, and fluency which will increase reading comprehension. Students will be able to have a sight word vocabulary equal to that of a primary school student creating a stronger foundation for reading.
Thursday 4:00-5:00
'Storybook Theater' The goal of this Storybook Theater program is to introduce students to the world of literature and a love for reading through some of the most popular children books around. Students will take their time and familiarize themselves with the book, focusing on characters, setting, vocabulary words and the moral of the story, among other things. Students will read the stories several times over the course of a few lessons, as repetition will help familiarize them to the stories. This fun and engaging class uses the power of storytelling, craft and play, and is the perfect class for both beginners and intermediate students.

Afterschoolのお支払いはターム制です。授業料は、振込み、もしくはクレジットカードにて先払いでお支払いください。

-Resource Fee-
年間、1クラス ¥2,000の教材費を別途お支払いして頂きます。

入校・退校について
すべてのプログラムはターム制となっており、原則、一度お申し込みいただいたクラスについては退校の届けがない限り次のタームも自動継続となります。学期途中の入校は各クラスに 空きがある場合のみ受付致します。やむを得ない理由でターム途中で退校する場合は、そのタームの開始前までにスタッフへご相談下さい。ターム途中で退学の届けが出された場合は、 ターム終了までの授業料の支払い義務が生じますのでご注意下さい。
